Stevie began sports therapy in 2009 after completing a BSc (Hons) Sports therapy degree at

Birmingham University. Stevie gained experience working in a clinical environment and with a variety

of sports teams. Stevie is qualified as a Pilates teacher and personal trainer (level 3) and a member of

the Society of Sports Therapists and Register of Exercise Professionals.

She set up her own Sports Therapy business in 2011, as well as working in various clinics and sports

clubs.

 

Stevie works primarily from home, but also practise at The Boathouse Surgery, Pangbourne in the

physiotherapy department and as part of the physiotherapy team at Reading Abbey Rugby club.

Previously working at Reading rugby club for 6 seasons with the men’s 2nd team, and managing the

physiotherapy team for some of this time.

 

This involves pre-match taping and strapping, providing pitch-side first aid and post-match aftercare.

During training sessions, treating and rehabilitating the injured players back to full fitness and Running

a group Pilates session.

 

In the past she has worked at ‘For Health Chiropractic’ in Pangbourne, ‘Physiolistic’ in Henley, ‘One

Physiotherapy’, ‘Thames valley clinic’ and Spire (Dunedin) hospital in Reading.

 

Stevie has been competitive in a variety of sports such as Hockey, Rugby, Rowing and More recently

has taken part in half marathons and local 10Km races. She is very keen on Yoga and Pilates and

recommend them to most of her clients.

 

As well as enjoying sports, she enjoys travelling. In 2009 she spent a year in Lake Louise, Alberta,

Canada working in a hotel as a massage therapist and house keeper. In her spare time, she enjoyed

snowboarding, hiking and she became a member of the Lake Louise voluntary fire department, which

involved intensive lessons about fire and rescue, accident and emergency and cutting vehicles open

as part of rescue; She also attended fire and medical calls.
